Who we are
A unique collaboration across four sectors.
The Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration brings together health, research, aged care and advocacy organisations working together to improve the lives of older people.
Led by NARI, MARC unites partner organisations around a shared vision: that older people receive the best possible care and support through services, programs and policies that promote health and optimal quality of life.

Our vision
Older people receiving the best possible care and support.
Through services, programs and policies that promote health and optimal quality of life, informed by evidence, shaped by collaboration, and grounded in the experiences of older Victorians.
What we do
Collaboration that turns evidence into better care.
MARC partners work together across research, practice and policy, sharing knowledge, running joint projects and translating findings into services that reach older Victorians.
Collaborative research
Partner organisations work together on research that addresses shared challenges in ageing, health and aged care across Victoria.
Knowledge sharing
Events, seminars and networks that connect researchers, clinicians, providers and advocates working with older people.
Policy and practice
Evidence and shared expertise that inform services, programs and policies affecting older Victorians.
Our partners
Health, research, aged care and advocacy, side by side.
MARC’s strength comes from its partners. Together they bring the expertise, reach and lived understanding needed to improve care for older people across Victoria.
Our research
Research shaped by shared priorities.
MARC’s research program reflects the priorities identified by its partners: the questions that matter across hospitals, aged care services, research institutes and advocacy organisations.
Findings are shared across the collaboration so evidence moves quickly into practice.
