This five-year initiative aims to improve the lives of family carers and people living with dementia across Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and Vietnam using a multilingual Virtual Assistant built on the World Health Organization’s iSupport for Dementia programme.
The project involved collaboration with WHO, Alzheimer’s Disease International, Dementia Australia, Alzheimer’s New Zealand, Alzheimer Indonesia, the Vietnam Alzheimer Disease & Neurocognitive Disorders Association, and several Australian ethno-specific aged care providers. It received joint funding through the NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program.
A stakeholder panel discussion on digital health in dementia care was also hosted.
