How culture influences dementia

Nearly 30% of older Australians are from a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background. The integration of culture into the Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and across several recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety means that all providers have an obligation to provide culturally safe and appropriate care. This is no easy task given the increasing health and cultural complexities of Australia’s older populations.

This evidence-based highly interactive workshop will focus on:
