The National Ageing Research Institute (NARI) partnered with leading Australian home care provider Silverchain to develop the framework, as part of the work of the Melbourne Ageing Research Collaboration (MARC).

The framework aims to increase the likelihood of successfully integrating technology into in-home aged care by identifying and managing enablers and barriers, and offering practical tips to include in an implementation plan.

Our framework and resources are designed specifically to assist organisations implementing technology in the Australian in-home aged care setting.

The framework incorporates seven main themes

  1. Technology Design Factors and Features
  2. Privacy, Security and Trust
  3. Training and Technical Support
  4. Organisational Design and Culture
  5. Aspects of Client Care
  6. Digital Literacy
  7. Perceived Benefits of Technology

An implementation checklist is also available, along with supplementary information setting out the evidence underpinning the framework. All three documents can be downloaded below.

Printed copies are available on request. Contact us to order a copy.
