ENJOY · TRAINING
ENJOY Training.
Delivering safe, engaging, and effective exercise programs for older adults requires more than access to equipment. It requires an understanding of how physical activity, balance, mobility and strength contribute to healthy ageing, as well as the confidence to support participants with varying abilities and needs.
SENIORS EXERCISE PARK TRAINING
Safe use, exercise prescription and program design.
NARI’s ENJOY Training programs have been developed to help health professionals, exercise practitioners, councils, community organisations and program facilitators maximise the benefits of Seniors Exercise Parks. Informed by research into healthy ageing, physical activity and falls prevention, these workshops provide practical knowledge and evidence-based approaches for designing and delivering exercise programs that support older adults to remain active, independent and connected within their communities.
NARI offers various training modules for allied health professionals, and for volunteers and community members on how to use the innovative Seniors Exercise Park safely.
TWO PATHWAYS
Choose the training that fits your role.
Allied health professional training
NARI regularly offers professional development workshops for allied health professionals and exercise instructors.
ENJOY champion training – Train the trainer
ENJOY Champions are trained to lead community members to participate in physical activity programs using the outdoor Seniors Exercise Park at their local area.
WHY COMMUNITY TRAINING
Training the community enables knowledge to be shared and maintained locally.
This is likely to maximise usage of the Seniors Exercise Park and support older people’s engagement in physical activity.
